It makes no sense to pay.. only the outside is beautiful and to be honest better from a distance.

First of all, this isn't a palace. Its a small house type structure which is nice. the best part about Sukh Niwas Mahal is that its on the banks of Jait Sagar lake and from a certain distance it looks amazing.

Not very crowded and situated on the lake, and hence the best place to cool off yourself after the heat has taken its toll.
Not much to see and pretty average architecturally, but the setting is very beautiful and a perfect relaxing place.
We could not visit this from the inside as we reached after closing time ( 5pm). It was of value to us as lovers of literature to see where Kipling wrote part of Kim. Its location on the edge of the reservoir is beautiful.
