Your feelings are spoilt the moment you enter Rameshwaram. Very poorly maintained city. In the temple area lot of Thugs in white clothes ready to rob you. Rs 25/ is the temple fee for 22 kind bath. But they charge @Rs 10/ pet kind making Rs 250/ . After that they will start asking for one year food, then six... More

This of a great place and one of Chaar Dhaam. The temple is huge and a great architecture. There are approx 1200 pillars and it looks like 3D painting drawn. one should hire a guide for a visit to the temple as temple is very huge and most of the signage are in local language. Mobiles and cameras are not allowed inside the temple. It takes around 2 hours to complete the entire round of rituals so do visit the temple early and make sure you have enough time in... More

Visiting during evening hours is a good option. Pay only 25 rs. per head for the 22 teertha snanam don't end up with Dalal ,they charge 150 per head . The temple is very grand and built with art and true ancient architecture. Every thing was just great.Only thing is Every where you need to pay. Even if you want to take proper bath from 22 ponds you need to pay other wise they just sprinkle water on you. I think it is south Indian temples culture more you pay... More
