Just the right place for a peaceful beach

Good place to visit once!! The long strech of road is pretty cool but expect to see loads of garbage along the way!! Cleanliness is next to nothing here!! Be aware that you can not take your own vehicle beyond the check point which is 5 kms before the actual beach.. if you want to explore further you need to... More

If you don't want the chaos and crowded beach which is seen near kanyakumari, rameshwaram, this is just the right place to look up to. The only issue is accessibility. We will have to hire the local vans to reach there. But now highway is constructed waiting to be inaugurated. Once this opens, guess it will make it alot easier... More

Could not believe this beach is actually in India. Its absolutely a must visit if you want to explore the area a little bit. The water is absolutely clear, blue. Loved it!! One suggestion though - should take some responsibility and maintain the surroundings a little bit. You cant get anything to eat there so carry your own food.

This beach is away from city of rameswaram. You can get bus from rameswarem bus stand or even temple bus stop itself It takes 15mins to reach the beach.. from there there is a van trip to interior of the beach 3sides sea and in center a narrow road. Nice experience there. Srilanka is nearbybfrom that beach. A must see... More

We heard many times about Indian Ocean but we can see here at Dhanushkodi from our naked eyes. Lovely view. We can see virtually end of Earth here.

Color of the ocean makes this place beautiful. Almost 10km from rameswaram temple. Very hot climate. You can hire another vehicle if you like to see the remains of old dhanushkodi town destroyed in cyclone. It's about 8km from beach.

It is around 25-30 minutes from Rameshwaram. You can go til a certain point in your own car. Beyond which I think you need to to take prior permission as there is a check post. Dhanushkodi beach is where you can enjoy sun set or sun rise. One side of it is Bay of Bengal (very mild waves) and other... More

Dhanushkodi means end of the bow and Dhanushkodi is one of the farthest points on the Indian subcontinent. Sri Lanka is approximately 18 KM from this place. It is an abandoned town that was destroyed by 1964 Rameshwaram cyclone. Dhanushkodi is connected to Rameshwaram by a newly constructed road that is surrounded by the sea on both the sides. Its... This place is near to rameshwaram just 20 km.Those people who like driving will find this road crazy, because it a 20 km straight road to dhanushkodi. You will find seas on both of your sides. On reaching the destination you will find a check post .Beyond the point our vehicles are not allowed. There has been a new road constructed to the dhanushkodi...
