We visited as part of a guided tour. There was so much to see and our guide was very informative. We really enjoyed taking our time, reading what information there was and being interested in every little detail.

Similar to the Ayutthaya ruins and historical park, this temple consists of more ruins, but they are of different types, so definitely worth a visit. The temple is located next to the river, around a 15 minute drive from the Ayutthaya ruins.

As you can see from the attached photos, Wat Chaiwatthanaram is stunning and in keeping with the best traditions of Ayutthaya. Must see.

Visited this temple from the river, during a boat trip around Ayutthaya - that made it all the more impressive, as the sun was setting behind it.

Ruins of the 650 year old temples. Fantastic how the temples were build in those times. Take good shoes if you want to climb. The visit will take an hour.
