I loved walking on the beach and climbing the near by rocks and snorkeling. We had a lovely time with friends.

This is a nice beach but the beauty lies in the coral right in front of the beach. To the west of the beach right under the little peninsula (ko mah) is a very nice coral reef to explore. You can hire diving masks, snorkels and fins at the elevated restaurant/cafe on the beach. Lockers are available there too. If... More

Compared to the terrible over development of Ko Samui this is a delightful calm and beautiful place. They are already building new hotels though so not sure how long it will stay like this ! Great beach with a strip out to the island, good snorkelling and good choice of restaurants.

Cute beach bar, small abandoned island and nice beach bars. The way there is a bit bumpy but it is worth it

Enjoying a few drinks whilst watching the hoards hustling on and off the ferries like ants is a great way to catch your breathe between shopping excursions and reminding yourself you holiday will eventually finish and you will be in the line. There are a number of bars overlooking the water that catch the breeze and cool you down. Mae... More

Water aren"t really clear, the small Island (ko Ma) is a big junkirad and from some reason this place is crowded, maybe becuse its easy to get here vs. The most beautiful beachs that you need a boat or motorcycles (not scooter)

We took a scooter from Thong Sala to Mae Haad to do some snorkelling. It's a nice little beach and walking along the sand bridge to the island is very picturesque. Anyone saying they didn't think the snorkelling was great didn't go out far enough. On the south side of the sand bar, keep swimming out until you see large... More

If you are looking for a beach with a nice reef at Ko Phangan, this is it! We saw stingrays, all sorts of parrotfish, butterfly fish, and a barracuda! Access to the reef is easy with a visible corridor even at low tide. The beach itself is poorly equipped, shower is quite far and not easily accessible. Lots of construction... More
