Sadly the weather was a bit cloudy when we visited and the sea had come in quite a bit so therefore there wasn't much beach to use and we had to leave

1.The water seems to be more clear , then other beaches even in bad days. 2.Most dramatic view. 3.Good massage place on the beach. 4.Lots of resort restorants with good food. 5. Lots of families with small kids.

We stayed at cookie salad and had a nice view at the bay. Unfortunately the beachside is not the best to swim at due to many corrals. For dinner and lunch its fine as there are many small and nice restaurants. Its very quiet, so for non-party people perfect.

No more picturesque jungles all over the hills above the sea - island gets popular, looks like "serious developers" arrived. Sad news for old Phangan lovers

The water can be quite high because of the tide in the morning, not good for your early jog. But Haad Salad is still a great place. Especially if you like peace and quiet. After 10 PM it's silent and mostly blacked out. The setting is really beautiful with the blue water surrounded by steep green hills. The water is... More

It was not crowded, despite traveling during peak season- I would say the further you walk you'll be able to find a quiet spot near the Salad bar which is perfect for a quiet read and suntan session. However since I was craving for mango sticky rice , we didn't manage to find it there. And of course, having a... More

Very well preserved beach with development that don't look too hideous. Be mindful that at high tide there is no more beach ! But snorkelling with pretty cool spots is right there for your taking. Lots of accommodation options, from cheap to luxe, food prices are pretty similar all over.

If you have a moped, it's worth a stop at Salad Beach. There are several resorts and restaurants along this small strip of beach, and you can catch a water taxi to explore other beaches. My highlight was the beach swings! Lots of shady spots to hide from the sun but there was some trash in the water. The water... More
