Sunday 16th February and we were booked on a boat tour to Phi Phi Islands. The Tour Operator was Sea Angel Tours.
One of the major highlights of the Tour was stopping on Phi Phi Don Island for lunch and time explore. This is definitely a tourist hot spot, with lots of tourists staying here, in the hotels & accommodation, as well as the day trippers.
Our boat anchored up in Loh Da Lum Bay/beach and we headed to Arida Restaurant, the tour lunch stop. We were able to sit and eat our lunch with a view of the beach and the Bay. The food was surprisingly good.
After lunch we were free to explore the narrow streets of Loh Da Lum Bay. They were lined with bars, restaurants, shops, cafe, tattoo shops and so much more.
There was even a McDonalds along one of the streets, not something we were expecting or wanting to see.
After a period of walking around, on uneven pavements, it was time for a cold beer at one of the Bars, R S Corner. Time to sit back relax and watch the world go by.
Sadly at night the area takes on a different persona, it becomes party place, the music is up loud and the party begins. The downside is the amount of rubbish generated and discarded around the streers and the beach.
The trip to get here was really worth it with amazing scenery exceeding expectations, however Loh Da Lum Bay was not the Island oasis we were expecting.

There are many hotels on this bay. This bay is where the Pier is. You can walk to alot of the hotels here, but some hotels are only accessible by longboats. I stayed at a hotel on this bay, right on the beach. The beaches are very beautiful. Lots of sand, but there are some rocky areas too.

Beautiful bay but watch out for the tides as you may not be able to walk all the way round the bay when the tide is in.

What might be what people come to the Andaman Islands for. Super beach. Colourful people and water activities, aplenty. Clean sea and scenic views. Safe and welcoming.

This is main public beach on Phi phi Don island very near to Pier.. having clear water with visible sandbed... only 3 ft depth making it safe and comfortable for enjoying sea bath..
You can use paid changing bathroom near beach.
Do not forget towel while visiting this place...
Shopping area nearby is good.

The view is beautiful and the sand is gorgeous but the tide goes out really far on this beach and there's lots of rocks and dead coral that make swimming impossible. There's also the sound of dance music pumping night and day from the obnoxious hotels/resorts.
When you venture out to the other beaches on the island you'll find that they're ALL covered in trash. Sad to see, this is paradise lost.

The beach is beautiful, particularly at sunset at one of the many beachfront bars. It's a shame that it's so visited and there are so many tourists there that it's far from peaceful.
We wouldn't have found it particularly great if we hadn't rented kayaks and explored the bay, so make sure to 100% rent kayaks while here!
The water is so clear and shallow that you can kayak for over a mile and still see the bottom of the ocean!

Beach with the clearest water I’ve ever been to. Swam with my eyes open with no problems. Plus, due to the surrounding geography, there are no waves which allows for a very relaxing float.
Looking at other reviews though, it seems that high season might not be the best time to go due to tourist crowding.

I'm not 100% percent sure but I think we were quote a price of about 4000 Bhat. I know some of my friends paid about $200(US) for a motorboat for the day.
