Cool Mediation Class

Very cool meditation class. I had never done it and it really opened my mind to the subject. There is so much you can take out of this experience to your life.

This is a beautiful Wat built at the side of a large lake or tank. I think it is the most visited in the park for the two hug standing Buddha's on either side of the temple. It must have been an absolutely beautiful place in its day.

Wat Mahathat is one of the many temples in the park. All of them are stunning, you should explore them all :)

Simply know if you visit Sukhothai Historical Park then you must visit this Cental Zone Wat in its entirety as it is arguably the Wat of the park. Start your visit here. You can walk to it from two different car parks; as you will need to leave any bike outside. I can see visiting in 30 minutes, but that... More

There are about a dozen or so ancient temples to see in the historical walled city. Just where the bus dropped us, after a 90 minute and 70 baht drive from Phishanlok, there was a helpful lady selling cards who gave us advice. We hired a tuktuk for 300 baht and the driver went to about half a dozen main... More

Another fine collection of 13th century brick buildings with influence from the Cambodia style. Very peaceful.

A large complex that contains a variety of vihara’s and chedi’s of varying architectural style and decorations. Certainly not a site that can be rushed through, so take the time to absorb all that it offers.

Wat Mahathat- This is huge. It is a compound surrounded by 200 chedis ( ashes of noblemen) and towering above it all is huge chedi , erected in 1345 ,that can't be missed.

We went both during night and day and it was wonderful. The kids also loved it. All those lights and candles make it so beautiful. During this month free of charge.
