Phong Dien Floating Market is 20 kilometers southwest of Can Tho, the best floating market in the Mekong Delta. Boats loaded with produce from nearby orchards of the Mekong Delta converge to the floating market. They carry mostly fruits but also coconuts, vegetables and fishes. The market is at its bustling best between 5am and 8am.

Super disappointed by the 2 floating markets- this is the smaller one of the two. Maybe 20 boats trading vegetable in total .... not worth paying for a tour... At this market there are several cafes with a terrace from which you can watch the...More

You can visit this floating market by boat after visiting cai rang floating market. Far away 15 km from the centre, it's one of the most interesting destination to pay a visit.More

Plastics and styro foam are everywhere. We even saw floating corpses of hogs. The floating wholesale market itself is a great tradition to see, colorful and very unique. Overall Can Tho is a filthy city, by far our worst stop in the Mekong Delta.More
