We booked a day trip to visit the Bai Dinh Pagoda and the Trang An Grottoes. The boat trip in Trang An was amazingly relaxing despite of the 2.000 boats on the water. The local people rowing the voats manually are incredible for rowing tourists around for 2 hours! We came a friday afternoon and there were no queue at... More

It was beautiful but super packed when we went. Good to know: - 200k per person - 15k to park your motorbike across the street - 2k to use the washrooms - Best time to go is during lunch (lots of people in the morning and after lunch on the weekend) - If you can, don't go on a weekend... More

No wonder why they added this site to the UNESCO!!! It's really quite amazing you need at least 3hrs for this but if you only have a short time in Nihn Binh this is definitely the thing to do. There are caves, nature, limestone mountains, temples, pagodas all done from a boat. It's well worth your time. Also wear proper... More

This was a great experience nonetheless, however despite arriving early (around 8:30am) the exclusiveness of the tour was stripped away by the large amounts of tourists. Don't expect to be in a boat by yourself. The scenery is like something out of a movie - several in fact.

Me, my husband, and two teenagers really enjoyed the grottoes. This is not a thrill ride, but instead a peaceful time to see both caves and countryside. My very tall son found it amusing to have to duck just to make it through the caves. I would warn people that the seats are very uncomfortable, but you can distract yourself... More

A long boatride for a limited cave viewing. Very touristic, if you have nothing better to do otherwise I would suggest looking elsewhere

The boat driver will suggest you 2 different ways to travel. First is longer take 3,5 hrs pass about 9 small caves and temple. Second take about 2.5 hrs also pass about 9 caves some same and some different caves of 1st trip but you have chance to see the place to film King skull island. Trang an grottoes is... More

We book the whole boat to ourselves for 1 hour 40 min ride. The boat can easily sit up to 10pax. It's cost vnd550,000(usd$27) or vnd 45,000 (usd$2.00)per person. Nice scenic ride of the caves and mountains and the history of one of their famous king that resided there many years ago. There is a cd given to you for... More

At awe with the beautiful un-touch sceneries. The boat tour was great. You can ask to skip scenic stops or go to every of them.

Most beautiful place we've visited in Vietnam so far. Started around 9 in the morning, wich is the perfect time if weather conditions are good. The scenery of this area is breathtaking. It's definitely a tourist spot, but they are quite efficient in accommodating the crowds. Must visit if you're in Ninh Binh
