We rented motorbikes from Ninh Binh and drove a short distance through charming countryside complete with water buffalos. The climb to Flying Dragon was just challenging enough. Definitely a trip most people can manage although it's a climb of about 500 steps straight up give...More

One of the main reasons I came to Ninh Binh was to hike up the Ngoa Long mountain above the caves- well worth the 463 steps as the view was phenomenal! We were lucky that it wasn’t drizzling like the day before so had clear...More

No one can deny the effort to walk to the top is worth it for the views. We cycled from Tam Coc having been to the grotto in the morning. At the grotto there is official parking which is understandable due to the number of...More

Steep stairs but not too bad to climb. Good views from the top. Stairs are a bit uneven and slippery when wet. I'd recommend a comfortable footwear.

We we're going to visit Mua Caves 19.2.18, but turned away after meeting the very aggressive scammers with parking. We were with bicycles that dont have a lock, so it would be ok for us to pay something. We wanted to go to see the...More

If you are in a reasonable physical shape I totally recommend a visit to the Mua Caves. The stairs to the top are very difficult to climb but the view when you get to the top is amazing. Definately worth some time for a visit.
