Much better than taking a boat around the river and the rice fields. Price is 100.000VND and the view from the top is totally worth the climb. PS: Ignore the guy just before the entrance telling you have to park at the parking. You can go inside and park there for free before getting your ticket!

Nice view from the top but you might skip if your program is short. I did on a cloudy day and was fine even if the steps are all different. It can be too hard on a sunny day

Ita about 500 steps to the temple at the top of Mua caves so it is quite tough going in the heat but do-able. Make sure you have lots of water! The view from the top is beautiful, over tam coc park and some of the small villages set amongst the karsts. The temple itself isnt anything special although the... More

The view is indescribable. I only got up halfway to the top because there were no hand rails and I get vertigo. My family went all the way to the top. I would definitely say not for the faint-hearted, it's dangerous even for the experienced. The stairs are loose rock at times and steep of course, so not best for... More

Stop at mua caves after visiting trang an. It's a steep climb up the stairs but soon rewarded with amazing views of ninh binh. As for the caves...not much of a anything. It will be the views up at the mountain which is the attraction.

We finished out our visit to Ninh Binh with a visit to Mua Caves. We weren't exactly sure what it would be like. We climbed lots of stairs to get to the top of the mountain. Passing dragons and servants along the way. It was a bit of work but the view of Tam Coc and the surrounding areas was... More

The cave was pretty underwhelming after being in Phong Nha, but after climbing to the top you are rewarded with a great view. The entrance is 100k dong. The guard tried to charge me 150k but then a lady came and charged me 100k as it should. If you are in Ninh Binh this is a great place to visit.

If you are wondering where to get the view of Tam Coc from above, this is the place to go to. Amazing view of the boat ride at Tam Coc. From Tam Coc, if you look carefully, you can see the Dragon on top of the hill, and thought perhaps it's a private property, but it isn't. A 15 minutes... More

I came here specifically to climb to the top for the views. Knowing it was going to be a physical challenge I took short breaks on the way up. The views from the top are just like you see on the internet but actually being there is invigorating. Magnificent views. I have a bit of an issue with heights and... More

This place is really beautiful, But if you want to see the sunrise you have to clim the fence because it opens at 7am. Dont skip the caves on the left side of the stairs, it brings you to a nice viewpoint!
