We took a 5 minutes water taxi from Tanjung Pinang across to Senggarang. It is a nice historical place but one doesn't need to spend much time there.

Didn't know about this until our guide asked us if we want to go. If we reached earlier probably more impressive but it was sunset … still good for a photo

Definitely nothing spectacular, just a small cute spot in a fishing village. Great for short escape from Tanjung Pinang. Just for taking pics and watching the local life (but be aware that you will be most likely bigger attraction for them, hehe). There is also Sun Te Kong Temple nearby, so you can join these two visits once you are on the other side of Tanjung Pinang.
To get there, take a small boat from the jetty opposite to Hotel Laut Jaya. They go all day, you just need to waive someone.

Interesting but can give it a miss. It’s a building overgrown by a banyan tree roots... consider it as just a small bit of ruins you see in Cambodia.

An old crumbling building covered by banyan trees. Not worth the 1 hour drive from the resort. Nothing to see inside. Pathetic and overrated.

I m from malaysia is my 2nd trip here to this bayan tree temple n the main god of the temple is tao chai kong ( reversed luck deity) if u r having bad luck or facing any obstacles u can't solve or facing court case can come here n ask for protection or blessing from tao chai kong to bless u with good luck n overcome obstacles n pray with your sincere heart n tao chai kong will help you. Come n talk with the villagers n they will tell u the mystery of this temple. My frens recently donated $$$ n renovated the interior n exterior temple floor with new tiles n makes the temple looks grand n clean n clear up the land infront of the temple where b4 there was rubbish all around n now the temple looks well maintained n clean n i love temple when u enter the main door is windy n cool. Though is a small temple n cuddle up by the big bayan tree but u can feel the good feel when u enter the temple. After visit the temple do visit the surrounding area see how the chinese community living here peacefully for so long here n see how the stilt wooden house all built above the sea water standing strong till today n u can find nice local chinese sea food restaurant n snack around. Nice for photo shoot. Inside the water village there r a lots of other temple inside u can visit but the main attraction is the bayan tree temple that makes this water village special.

For how inaccessible this is, very overrated. Essentially a crumbling house with a small shrine. Not the charming overgrown temple you might imagine.

I have been asked, if this is the temple, which we can also find the 18 Lohan Statues.
Thank you in advance!

NO. there is another bigger temple and you can probably find it there. It is where I got off from my boat.
