If you are passing by Nyahururu town then you must pass by Thomson Falls. It's a beautiful waterfall at the Ewaso Nyiro River which is 81 meters (265 feet) high.

We visited during a Safari drive from The Aberdare Country Club, ending up at at The Ark. well worth a visit, take a picnic and a camera.

We saw the falls from a big distance but even then it's beautiful. We didn't see much animals but the park is ok.

Not worth straying off your planned trip itinerary, but fine to stretch your legs or if you want to visit a local market.

The falls is next to Thomson Falls Lodge and can be seen from the gardens.A small part has a walkway to view the falls but the terrain is difficult to do a hike .
