What a lovely park, the animals all seemed so happy and content and it was a real treat to see rhinos. Also the fact that all the animals seemed to have young babies was very heart warming. Our only problem was the gates were not...More

We boarded game vehicles at the Lodge at 7.30 for a slow drive around the Nakuru game park that lasted until 12.45. We were certainly able to view and photo a wide variety of animals: • Deer etc: Impala, Grant's Gazelle, Water Buck • Other...More

This was a spot we were really excited to go to because of it's large probability of seeing a rhino, which was the last animal on our checklist. And we lucked out! Many, many Water Buffalo and Zebras. Lots of waterfowl if you're into that...More

Lots of animals for a relatively small national park. In this park we saw our only white rhinos of our trip through Kenya. We had a beautiful view of a white rhino grazing with a small town in the background, it was surrealistic. Too bad...More

We. Insisted this area while on two week safari. This is a unique area compared to the other places seen on safari since it has a lake to supply water to animals such as birds and others. We did see a rhino here but while...More

We were in the right place at the right time to see an abundance of wildlife. Flamingos were at a long distance away which was a shame but still managed to get some photos from a distance. We spotted a lion, plenty of zebras, monkeys,...More

Whilst visiting Lake Nakuru on Safari we saw black / white rhinos, cape buffalo, giraffes, lions and many more. The flamingo population is dwindling but there is still so much to see.

You are guaranteed to see rhinos in this park as it is Kenya's first and largest rhino sanctuary. The flamingoes population is dropping with the water levels of the lake rising and the alkaline levels changing. But you get an interesting shoreline with the dead...More

While the lake's water level has risen in recent years, the flamingos do still come through. The park has a number of rhinos and they take their protection very seriously. We also saw lions, Rothchild's giraffe (more than 15 in one area!), eagles, waterfalls, spoonbills,...More

If you are looking for Flamingos I suggest you skip Lake Nakuru and instead visit Lake Bogoria. Rothschild Giraffe, Black and White Rhinos, Lions, Leopard and other plains game are easily spotted at Lake Nakuru.

Best place to see lake is from Baboon Cliff viewpoint and clearly signed. No boating though on this lake!
