Good wildlife around, worth a visit

good place to spot the rothschild giraffe, white rhinos and the various deer species. The birds were good, but not much flamingos during our time of travel (Dec 2016)

Flamingos are not there, they are gone to lake Bogoria!! lake has increased its dimensions due to climate changes and all is flooded, landscape very desolated, full of dead trees.

The surface of the lake was hardly recognizable due to the continually shifting mass of pink; the flamingos. It was a beautiful scenery. Throughout the park and we saw zebras, rhinos, jackals, impalas, gazelles and there were lots of interesting birds. Not to mention the beautiful natural scenery. We also drove to a waterfall to see where a scene in... More

Arrived in late afternoon, first thing we saw was two lions feeding on a buffalo. We stayed at the KWS rondavels which was basic but perfectly adequate with beds cooking facilities and shower. Next day we spent all day going round the park and saw just about everything you could hope for! Only missing leopards. If you have limited time... More

This was our third park and our lowest ranked one. It was okay but nothing special compared to the others. The highlight was that we saw 3 rhinos and a lot of flamingos. In the future I would probably skip this and spend an extra day in Masai Mara.

We spent an afternoon on safari in Lake Nakuru. It was a very pleasant experience. We saw giraffe and zebra, rhino (both white an black) and water buffalo, impala and gazelles, all up-close and personal. Not to mention the beautiful scenery. I was very impressed and happy that we had made the stop in Lake Nakuru. My visit to Kenya... More

I was quite taken back that a national park would be so dirty. Unfortunately there was a lot of trash throughout the park. We spent approximately 8 hrs driving and the wildlife is very very sparse. No cats but plenty of Baboons. Not worth the trip!

There are good numbers of wildlife but we could only trace very few flamingos. Beware of lone buffaloes, they will attack readily. The road is well graded and OK for town cars. The baboons at the baboon cliff can be a menace if you show them food.It was reasonable in terms of entry charges.
