This hidden gem is a great place to rest and relax and see a very different part of Tsavo East... you feel that you are on the beach. The tents are comfortable with en suite shower rooms and solar lighting if the other power runs out. There's no wifi and little phone signal so it's a great place to relax... More

We had an unforgettable and delightful experience at the camp. The food was fantastic, the staff -super friendly and ready to help with everything. The riverside setting was to die for !! and the elephant encounter we had was unforgettable. I would whole heartedly recommend this rustic and wild camp. We will definitely be back!

Accommodation is simple, yet clean. The meals were extremely tasty! The entertainment was provided by a "friendly" elephant who meandered through camp at various times through the day. Safari lounge chairs are set up by rivers edge - no better place to enjoy a cold Tuskegee or glass of wine after a long, hot day game viewing.

We just loved this camp. The children loved Mario the elephant who walked through the camp morning and evening. Crocodiles swam in the river whilst hippos basked on the rocks. The tents were super and 2 huge lizards watched us as we washed. The food was amazing and the tables, set out on the banks of the river, were beautifully... More

We have known this camp a long time . If you like old Kenya without all the Gucci modern frills this is for you . Brilliant location, wonderful food with a hint of Italian , great staff and comfortable . For those who like the Hilton don't come ! This is African hospitality at its best and true value for... The accommodation at this camp is nothing special but what has caused us to return five times is the food: in a completely different league from the normal safari camp steam-table buffets. From tiny pre-dinner pizzas to flaming crepes for dessert, from home-made bread to home-made pasta, this is high-class fare. We made a point of asking to meet the... More

This an amazing tented camp. Very old fashioned tents but comfortable. The food is great and the position on the river makes it. The food was very good and the staff were just great. They have a resident elephant that comes through the lodge at any time..we did feel that there could be an up grade done on the sitting... More

We were a group of 3 girlfriends and we felt really happy here. The view in the camp is great. The food is amazingly good. The staff, especially Peter, are really nice and helpful. We stopped by other camps and none looked like the real thing as this one. We will come back.

You may not notice anything special on arrival at this camp. But nothing compares to wherever else that you've been before. Lol...the entrance to the premises, reception area, parking bay and no fence. It's built in the most natural set-up.Full respect to Mother-nature in all forms. Cheerful staff will welcome you as you alight from your vehicle and usher you... More

I have to say that the food was amazing. But that and the view over the river was the best thing about the camp. It's a tented safari camp (glamping) but I am afraid that it ran out of Glamour a few years ago. The tents are very dark, the beds poor and don't expect anything in the bathroom apart... More
