High praise for Universal Divers. The operation is very professional: competent dive masters, great equipment, well organized and 3 dives a day always running on time and very efficient and smooth operations. The boats work well and gives easy in and out of the water access. Prices are very reasonable. Most dive sites are 5-20 minutes from the dive center.

Excellent and friendly staff, with safety being a top priority. My 12 year old nephew did his open water and my 16 year old nephew did his advanced and rescue diver courses and we never had any concerns on their safety, once we had met the dive masters. Very professional Only issue we had was that we had to pay... More

We came in a group of 4 for 4 dives in 2 days. They usually travel in a bigger boat, or at least they were. We were together with about 5 other divers, a total of 9 divers excluding the diver masters. We were split to 2 groups 4 & 5, so we actually got a dive master assigned to... More

My fiance and I did a discovery scuba dive with Universal divers. We had a great time with our instructor, William. He was easy-going, made us laugh but observed the health and safety at all times. The sign of a good school is when they place your safety above other considerations. We were very keen to dive from the boat... More

As an experienced diver (200+ dives/DM) I hadn't heard great reviews about diving in the Perhentians before I came. However I had a great time with universal divers. The diving was great - good visibility, small groups, turtles/sharks/heaps of eels/lots of nudis/big puffers/baitfish/barracuda/wrecks...list goes on. The team at universal are incredibly friendly and professional, Ali was absolutely brilliant (eyes like... More

Great diving with this company, have used others but these are by far the best boats on the island to dive from. 3 dives a day and great dive masters and instructors to drive with. Didn't get a chance but their boat trips to redang island are meant to be great.
