To see the Medina is to see the Blue City. We stayed in a hotel within the Medina, everything is at your doorstep. Beautiful town, beautiful people. Extremely safe. Would love to return again.

If you are in Chefchaouen, then you have to see the blue city up close from within the Medina. There’s not much else to do other than to take pictures but what’s heartening is to see people living their lives inside an old city while...More

There's plenty to keep you busy... lots of fun shopping for... well, you name it! We bought beautiful fabrics and a Djellaba for me...had coffee and petted about half of the thousands of cats roaming around!

Lovely wee town full of beautiful tone of blue, great alternative from the big polluted cites. Less hassle because everyone is on or selling hash.

They've kept up with the blues & white paint; So easy to stroll through the vendors - not pushy at all; you might hear simply "would you care to take a look?" Just do it.

It is quite small. It depends how much shopping you want to do. The locals who have something to sell will not leave you alone for a second! They are very, very pushy. I think an hour or two is plenty of time.

It's not that big. You wont even need a full day but it extremely depend on you yourself and how you enjoy visiting such places but try every (and I mean every) alley or path as you will enjoy every inch of this blue town!
