We went along with some trepidation that this would be a touristy and cheesy rip-off but it turned out to be quite good fun. Th sets are really quite amazing and give you A good sense of how the camera can create the illusion of a time or place in such a small space. Our guide was very droll and... More

Atlas Studio advertises that the entry fee of 50 dirhams includes a tour guide, yet when our tour was completed, the guide asked to be paid. We inquired at the desk if the studio pays the guides. The answer was that we could tip if we wanted. I re-phrased my question asking if the guides received an income from Atlas,... More

A group of friends & I went on a tour of the Atlas corporation Film Studios while we were in Morocco. We all thought it was totally worthwhile indeed. I was surprised as to how many movies that I had seen over the years had been filmed there. Our guide was very informative and entertaining.

We got there late and did not have time to tour but we walked around from the outside of the grounds. There was some movie making activity but not much.

A trip here was part of our day away from Marrakech. Wasn't sure wandering around a studio lot in the rain was going to be much fun, but being a movie buff I found it interesting. The Egyptian hypostyle Hall was impressive but I challenge anyone to translate the hieroglyphs! Don't forget expect Universal Studios here. You have to use... More

After lunch, we headed to the Atlas Movie Studio and the plaza. Imagine Morocco as a destination for filming for many famous big movies. Indeed it is. The studio was filled with artifacts , relics and items used for Egyptian movies theme and others. I think the guide said they no longer use these items but I could not remember... More

It was an old studio. Do not expect too much. I was expecting a universal studio in LA. But it it was not. There were some sets to see and we took pictures. that all. If you have enough time it was ok. but do not expect too much. its an old sets.

You would be amazed at the movies that had scenes shot on this set. Movies and movie scenes that you thought were shot in Tibet, Egypt and other places were filmed here. This company is owned by Dino de Laurentis, so that should tell you something.

What fun! Totally surreal experience. A most convincing polystyrene Ancient Egypt meets Game of Thrones and more. A working location with a desert surround. Refreshingly batty, and all the more so for an entertaining guide.Do it.
