very disappointed as mostly everything in Nigeria, places of interest are not managed well at all. sad to see such a lack of committment

i have been to museums in other countries so being a Nigerian, I am quite critical of what I saw here. This is a major museum meant to preserve the history of the dark era of the slave trade, Badagry being a major trade route!!...More

This museum is a weak point in heritage sites in Badagry. Needs more attention. Some interesting exhibits, but very few artifacts. Some of the building structure is falling apart. Even took a while to get building opened when we visited.

A long way to go for so little when it is such a fascinating part of the country's history. The museum is tiny and only a handful of artefacts

It's about 2 hour drive from Lagos, but really worth it. There are several black heritage museums in the Badagry area, friendly tour guides. Great escape from chaos of Lagos.
