The dune buggying out to the sand hills for the sandboarding is really fun and the cost for the 2 hour trip all up is pretty cheap. We paid 60 soles which covered 2 hours driving around in the dunes, taking photos, sandboarding and a lift out to Huacachina and back home to our accommodation in Ica afterwards. The quality... Took a buggy ride through the dunes, making several stops to sand board. The dune ride was like being on a rollercoaster, no knowing what to expect after ascending up the dune. The sand boarding was excellent. Couldn't stop talking about it. And the view, that was an added bonus. Definitely worth every penny for you thrill seekers.

One of the best adventures I've had. This place was simply paradise. So much fun to ride. Just make sure to be buckled up. Going on the board was a little scary but definitely fun. Going back up the sand hill is a pain but great exercise, Plus worth it to go down it again. Adrenaline rush for sure

Don't go back to your country without practice sandboard in Ica. It is amazing! Even, rent some sand cars to road the dunes. Prove the local wines and the traditional desert called "chocoteja"

Never had I witnessed sand dunes composed of the finest sand the height of five-story buildings! Try climbing a sand dune; try getting to the top in order to lookout upon mile upon mile of sand dunes. Ica, Peru can be accessed by car or bus. Bring plenty of water.

We enjoyed the dune buggy up and down the sand dunes. Also looking at down at the Laguna full of life, students on recess/field trip and a police academy exercising. Surfing the dunes was impressive.

We visit the desert as part of one big day tour. The experience with the sand board and the sand car was amazing, like a very old roller coaster, too much fun.

I was hesitant to do this because I had read about the buggy drivers driving really dangerously, but I went anyway because I really wanted to try sandboarding and didn't want to walk up the dunes. I'm glad to say that I was wrong - the drivers do go pretty fast and go up and down the dunes, but there... More

From afar a beautiful lanscape .... The oasis of Huacachina looks beautiful! But when you get there you realize it's not as nice as it looked in the distance. The boardwalk is neglected, with the cracked structures. The place looks neglected. Hotels are not very good. The lagoon would not be recommend it for bathing, although some locals are immersed...
