This museum, besides being a necessary complement to the visit to the archaeological sights of Nazca (not only to the lines, but also to the cemetery of Chauchilla, Cahuachi, etc.), is also valuable being the product of excavations run in recent times, so scientifically and...More

There is so much more to Nazca than just the lines and it is such a shame that most people just pass through to do the flight and then head off. There is enough to spend at least 2 full days in the area, especially...More

The museum was larger than expected, and contained many rooms of exhibits and artefacts. There were well preserved mummy skulls, and reconstructions of how some of the mummies were found. There was a lot of information about the excavations in the area. However, the exhibits...More

The cost of entry is 15 soles, with another 5 for photography. Lots of broken pottery shards, textile fragments, all of Nazca origin. Lots of information about the digs and how things were found -- it's all in Spanish though! You'd have to have a...More

The collection itself is not bad, but the condition of the place is a pitty. They have some simulation of how the tumbs were and how Nasca lines are.. Ps.: the restrooms were really disgusting 😕

This museum displays a collection of artifacts that is world class. It explains the sequencing of the various geoglyphs, i.e. "lines" in several exhibit panels. All it needs is an upgrade in presentation, as well as addition of english in its descriptions. A part of...More

Incredibly preserved items (mostly) from Cahuachi religious site. Coloured pottery, textiles, jewlery and even dried food from the ancient times. Absolutely fascinating.

A thoughtfully laid out collection illustrating the succession of cultures that have dominated the Nazca region. There are some interesting posters to illustrate historical points and a (slightly curious) English translation is provided. There are some fascinating exhibits but the overall presentation is, sadly, a...More

The ride by tuk-tuk back from the museum was more interesting then the museum itself. Having visited pre-Columbian museums now in both Quito and Lima, this one ranks near the bottom. No effort has been spared in making the place boring. And the 5 Sol...More

We spent a really interesting morning here, having decided to visit the museum before visiting the actual archeological sites or going to see the Lines, and I'm glad we did! I was offered an information booklet in English, which was extensive. The museum displays offer...More
