About
The symbol of Podgorica and also the greatest river flowing through the Capital. Its deep riverbed, large rocks and icy temperatures are just some of the main characteristics of this mountain river. On its way through the Capital, Moraca also carved out many caves. It is 113 kilometres long, and it runs from north to south, flowing into the Skadar Lake.

A real mountain river with unbelievable cold water, it is not intended for swimming, it is for sitting there and enjoying coolness when the sun is burning. The water is crystal and so blue!

Really pretty small river that flows through the city and under the bridge. We didn't go all the way to the mountain to see its tru beauty, but it was really nice where we saw it.

Flowing down from mount Rzača in northern Montenegro all the way to lake Skadar for some 100 km, the Morača river is certainly one of the country's national assets. Crystal clear water even in Podgorica, though on the river banks often you see garbage of all kinds here. The most spectacular river scenery is towards the north of the city before the river enters the Zeta plain. In the north the significant elevation difference ensures the river is running faster and often the river has carved out its narrow flow through rock formations.

The long river can be seen all the way on the main road. We drove by it from the north do Podgorica and the view was amazing.

It is a very scenic drive north from Podgorica. The river is deep in the bottom of the canyon, well below the road level, so it's actually quite hard to get to the water.

We only saw this first from the train but then from a coach. The walls of the canyon were sheer, the road kind of narrow and the river a beautiful blue. Really impressive.

A shimmering band through the city, lovely, green and wild. Not exploated at all. Wilderness in the middle of the city.
