Podgorica waterfall in September 2023

I came to the place in an organized trip, after a promising advertisement about 'Niagara Falls' and I wanted to see even something similar, but I was very disappointed. It was far from a waterfall and certainly not Niagara. There was a small water pool with a one swimmer. There was a restaurant and a cafe. It was relatively hot and the shading was only in the restaurant area

Its all FAKE, sorry to tell the truth, Plus go in rainy season

We obviously went at the wrong time of year,,,, BUt as the water was super low, You get to see its FAKE, its basicly a man made dam !!! Now thats cheating by any standards. When its low its nice to relax or paddle in, and downstream , For the risk takers, a few places to jump in,,, We didnt cos could not see a way up out of water from the top
So go in rainy season, And pretend its real !

Gorgeous waterfall

Fantastic spot for nature lovers outside of the Capital city Podgorica. Gorgeous aquamarine water, which flowed massively when we were there (there was quite a bit of rain a few days before).
And a really good restaurant right on the banks of the river called - naturally - Niagara.

Lovely way to spend a few hours

Stunning location and well worth the 8€ taxi from Podgorica city mall. Plenty of space for beautiful photos alongside the waterfall and further down the river where it's a bit calmer. I recommend Restoran Niagara for lunch while you're there too!

Waterfall Niagara visit

We were in the bus with Renatta guide, she told us no water in the river don't go. But she left us and the driver took us there, it is a very good scene water is flowing between the rocks every where.

Nice for sightseeing and swimming

We visited in July and unfortunately there was no waterfall because it hadn't rained in Montenegro for the last two months. However, it was exciting to walk around among the rocks. In addition, there is also the possibility to swim, and the water was pleasantly warm. Access is from the restaurant Niagara, and you can also park your car there for free.

A pretty escape from the centre

This is a great little place to visit. A beautiful waterfall and really pretty river. You can go for a nice relatively short walk along the river. We also stopped at the restaurant for a drink - a lovely setting.

The biggest waterfall in Montenegro
