I went here to see some sea turtles and wasn't disapiointed at all. Very nice to see and even touch them. The people working there were very nice to ley tou hold the turtles and give a good explanation. Not so far from hikkaduwa (just take a tuktuk, not expensive at all to get there)

We found out that even though the hatchery has government accreditation, it is not a sanctuary but is a business. What they are doing to protect the turtles is good but I feel that the ponds/tanks the turtles are kept in should be a lot larger to allow the turtles the freedom to swim more.

Was a wonderful experience. A turtle conservancy run by the world wild life federation where they take care of the worlds rarest species of turtles and also hatch new ones. For srilankan RS. 1500 per person you get to release 10 tuttles into the sea. Its an experience for sure!

Good initiative. Appreciate the work they are doing. Nice interactive session. Kids will love the experience. Especially when you get to hold the young turtles.

We visited in April and found we were the only ones there due to it being the off season. It was great to walk around and get hands on the turtles. The sanctuary looked like a genuine conservation effort which was good to see and the guys working there knew their stuff. We were allowed to pick up and hold... More

We loved it. Saw lots of turtle babies and rescued turtles. They rescue the turtle eggs and hatch it on their own release them when they are ready.

Myself and my friends visited here on a weekday and it is located at a convinient place. Realy appriciate that their aim is to make a better and safer home for the turtles. Learnt a lot about turtles, good place for kids too.

It's amazing to see baby turtles up close. The older turtles are beautiful all in their own way even when they are missing a limb.

The folks over there do a good job trying to maintain the balance of nature and help the turtles survive.
