Great Dancer with both male and female Dancer. Do read the story line to understand their performance. 45 mins performance with lots of action from the dancer. It will ends with fire performances by rubbing the fire on their body , ‘eating’ the fire and...More

Loved the dances and the cultural show. I expected a bit more, but it was still and interesting show. A show put on for the tourists.

Everyone will try to get you to go to visit this dance. It was full of Asian tourists and although the cultural factor was there I don’t think I would waste any money going again. The venue is warm with some small electric fans inside...More

Interesting performance. Nice to see the dancers and listen to the traditional music, however it became a little repetitive after a while.

On our way to Kandy we stopped to see the Kandyan dance performance. It was a great, the performers were good but honestly I was not that fascinated or impressed by it. They could definitely do a lot better to an audience of international viewers.

Don't expect the West End or Broadway, this is a local dance show and firepit walk produced by locals who are clearly very proud of their culture and the origins of this dance. It is relatively short in duration which is welcome, funny and entertaining...More

The show is enjoyable and an interesting experience of Sri Lankan culture. Make sure you go earlier to get tickets and book seats. The seat booking is rather unusual as you write your name on a card and simply put it on a your selected...More

This was a delightful and interesting experience watching these energetic dancers perform. Despite being given a list of dances it was difficult to follow but it was all very colourful and spectacular followed by fire walking!!

Many tour guides will book seats for their guest, so if you have a guide, do get him to do the same, as the performance is free seating. Story line of each dance is given out in multiple language but the actual performance did not...More

Very poor show! No energy, no atmosphere, bored dancers and they've doubled the entrance ticket!!! Try a different venue!!!

5pm. But at that time it is a scramble to get good seating - no reserved seating exists. Reach about 15 to 30 minutes early. The duration is about an hour including a Fire dance which is outside the performance hall.

You buy tickets at the entrance of the Red Cross Hall where the performances are held. I would buy tickets early to get good seats. From the Temple of the Tooth, you walk along the lake away from the downtown/shopping/ area... More
