NICE BOAT RIDE

We took the boat to Xuan Guang Si, The ride was fun. We got down and walked around. Nice view. But takes a lot of walking,

This is a second pier when travel by boat ticket. Small temple with good view of Sun moon lake (You have to take the stairs to go up to reach temple about 10 minutes). Unfortuately I visited in October 2016, The temple is in maintainance, only take the pictures at roof and stone.

Seriously it's just a temple, with ah mah selling the famous tea leave egg down the slope is very cheap, 13TWD, it's really good and tasty.

This temple is pretty small with nothing spectacular to see. The view is pretty good. It still seems to be popular with locals.

Just a small temple and a rock for people to take photo with. People go there because it's one of the stop that the sun moon lake boat offers. The granny's herbal tea egg at the bottom is something not to miss though.

There is nothing spectacular in the temple. Arrived by bus and left the place in less than 15 minutes. This place is full of PRC tourists and is extremely crowded and noisy, PRC tourists will all crowd around the stone engraved 'Sun Moon Lake' wordings to take pictures and touch it for some reason. They will not queue up and... More

I have to rate this attraction high simply because of our experience. Previous reviewers are correct is saying the temple is small and nothing too remarkable to look at, but for us it was a magical experience. There is something so subtle and wonderful about the temple. We could definitely feel the energy within the biulding. Something pure and clean... More

This is the original storage location of the remains of the legendary monk until it has been moved further up the mountain into Xuanzhuang Si. Expect large groups of visitors and worshipers. A well known stall selling tea leaves egg is located at the foot of the temple. Expected even larger crowds.

The temple itself was nothing spectacular, but the view was pretty good. You can get there by the round-the-lake shuttle bus, or via the cruise boats.
