Finca Los Monos (the Monkey Farm) is situated on Isla Colon, the largest island in the enchanting archipelago of Bocas del Toro, , Panama. The islands enjoy a steady temperature of between 80 and 93 degrees (27 C – 33 C) all year round, with adequate rainfall to keep them lush and humid. Over the years we have created a magnificent garden with large collections of heleconias, gingers, palms, flowering trees, fruit trees, spices and ornamentals. New plants are constantly being added to the property.

Linda is very nice and does a great tour of her property, which features countless interesting plants and flowers. We even enjoyed seeing a small hummingbird nest that had just had 2 baby hummingbirds! They were the smallest I've ever seen. It's easy to get to Finca Los Monos, just take a taxi for $1 per person, and walk up... More

The host for our tour was Lin who has painstakingly and lovingly spent her years developing this feast of natural beauty. Her eyes light up as she describes the many native plants and the amazing array of tropical plants she has introduced to her garden. A botanists dream. A nature lovers paradise. The tour of her magnificent gardens was a... More

On the lush Isla de Colon just outside Bocas Town, a couple have planted a botanical garden of fantastic plants from the world over. Full of beautiful blooms, exotic palms, trees, birds and monkeys. Well worth your time.

There is always something new to learn about, flora or fauna. Lin's knowledge is impressive. And the work that she and her husband have done to create the gardens over many years is unbelievable. When on Isla Colon, this place shouldn't be missed.

Got a great tour of the garden from Lin. She has such a passion for the garden and its contribution to the community. Her self taught knowledge knows no bounds. Fascinating tour of the exotic gardens topped off with some refreshing lemon grass tea!

I joined a group of 15 people for this delightful a delight and informative tour on Friday morning. To think that the owners cut out this area from the jungle starting 20+ years ago is amazing. There are plants native to Panama as well as plants from around the world. The approximately 2 hour walk was not overly strenuous, but... More
