I loved this place, you can get this small bars on the beach with service to your sun chair, very nice place to go in the afternoon. You can take the bus to go and come back by boat

Pros: Reasonable transportation from Bocas Town to the beach ($2.50) and boat to Playa Estrella ($1.50). Beautiful starfish and curious small fish that swim right up to you. Restaurants Free lounging chairs Tranquility Cons: Terrible dirt road. The bumpy swerving drive home made me nauseas.

this is a pristine aerea beside in the weekend or on holidays. Sadly during this days it is overcrowded for our taste. Please whenever you visit this aerea do not touch the seastar leave them in the water, they die if you take them out.

You have to take a long run in public transportation and then take a small boat or walk, but let me tell you it's worth it.

Beautiful. Best fish tacos at Aida's! Good service, good music (not too intrusive), toilets, sun beds $2 for the day and the staff were so friendly. Lovely artisan stall ran by Ricardo. If there's a sloth about he'll happily show you where! He will also...More

We only saw 2 star fish, but the beach was amazing. The water was crystal clear. My little boys got to fish and caught a small mackerel and a barracuda. We rented a table for our family to have picnic on. It provided some shade...More

There were tons of starfish, but the water had a huge drop maybe 12-20 feet from the shore an it was kind of scary.

We visited Playa Estrella on the day of July 31, 2017. It was overcast outside so the water clarity was not as good as it normally would be on a sunny day. It was still loaded with starfish as the day progressed. It starts to...More

Its a beach. And there are starfish. If you're lucky you'll see a sloth or a monkey if you hike around. Grilled fish on the beach is amazing. Try Restaurant Ana if its open.

Like the person above stated, you can spend as much as you want. If you want to travel by bus, boat , walk or ride a bike all depends on you. It can be really cheap if you research the trip and plan it out. It doesn't... More

Boat ride with a water taxi or you can ride bikes. There is one road in with a bit of a walk (10 min) from where the road ends at another beach. The bike ride is beautiful and takes about 40 mins.
