We had such a lovely day learning how to cook authentic family recipes and enjoying a taste of Indian culture. Jyoti is very knowledgeable and friendly and warmly welcomed us into her home. She is very hospitable. She also helped us organize other things like transfers to Agra, it was like having a family friend in India to help us!... More

The location is Jyoti's home - so very warm and inviting. She had prepared recipes that she provided us with and walked the group of ladies I was with (12 of us) through the process of Indian cooking and the secrets to success. Their amazing flavours and the difference between what you eat in India vs anywhere else in the... More

I visited Gourmet Desire because I love Indian food and didn't have the first idea about how to prepare it myself. I was not disappointed. Mrs. Agarwal was accommodating and helped me prepare/ showed me how to prepare various dishes. I would highly recommend this class.

We did an afternoon cooking course and had a great time learning to make about 7 dishes. We particularly enjoyed making the tiki burgers and chutney and the roti! Good fun course, about the right level of hands-on tuition, and Jyoti is very welcoming and friendly (and flawless English). Would recommend!

I've just finished doing a cooking class with Joyti from gourmet desire and what a fantastic experience. Joyti explained all the different spices and what they can be used for in Indian cooking, how to cook the food, the flavours and of course eating our dishes once completed. It was the best 4 hours of cooking I've done and anybody... More

What a wonderful experience and a great way to spend a day. Our lovely host Jyoti welcomed us into her home and explained all the different types of foods, spices and styles of Indian food. Together we cooked some amazing dishes and at the end we all sat together to eat them and wow were they tasty. Jyoti could not... More

Jyoti is the perfect teacher. She is kind, patient and full of excellent knowledge not only about Indian cuisine but also about Indian history and culture. Initially we were just going to take a one day cooking class but when we discovered how knowledgeable and flexible she was we decided to entrust our entire trip to Delhi with her and... More

We chose a 3-4 hour course. It's well prepared and we learned about 7 kinds of Indian dishes. We learned how some Indian dish were made and what kinds of spices were added. We also tried to make dough on ourselves and fried our dishes. It's really good to know so many spices and ingredients of Indian food. In the end,... More

My girlfriend and I decided to take a cooking class and had tons of choices. I'm glad we chose this one. Even though it's more expensive than others, the experience is very well put together. Highly knowledgable. Very hospitable. Able to explain things in a way that can help you both as a chef AND as someone who wants to... More

This class is a great way to bring your trip home and share it with family and friends. Jyoti listens to what you are interested in and covers an enormous amount in a short afternoon. Everything is set up for you to get going and recipes are provided. I enjoyed our time together and learned a lot!
