This was a great museum, with interesting history and personal facts. The whole museum is done thoughtfully and with some excellent interactive interpretations. I could have stayed there for much longer (stayed over 1 hour) - I certainly learnt a lot and appreciated the whole experience.

This is the home of India's first Prime Minister after the end of colonialism. Lots of original furniture and also wall displays of historical items. Not much context and hard to grasp if you are not already familiar with Indian history. Not air conditioned and lots of stairs and long corridors. We wished that there were some short videos available... More

There is a lot here--history of India, history of Gandhi's life, and interactive artistic interpretation of Gandhi's ideals, and a tribute to the final months and day of his life. Very educational.

This is an extremely interesting museum if one is interested in Gandhi and Indian history. The collection of photographs, excerpts from newspapers of the day and collection of personal items makes for an authentic and memorable museum experience. Having already read Gandis book by by Bobby Fischer I had a good general knowledge but there is only so much you... More

A very pleasant visit if you like culture. This museum is very large so it took us a full afternoon to see everything.

I don't know why I was expecting more of this museum. It was very plain and bare-bones. It had a lot of photos and mementos of Ghandi. He lived a very simple life and this museum reflects that.

I visited this museum with my young adult daughter as part of a VegVoyages tour which ran for ten days in India. This was one of our favorite places. I was deeply moved by this memorial to Gandhi. We sat and meditated on the lawn as it was a beautiful day. We read the quotes from Gandhi which were displayed.... More

I was glad this was featured as part of my tour as Gandhi was so influential in the thinking and philosophy of the Indian people. Amazing that one person could have such impact. We walked through the garden, saw the pictures, read the quotes, and soaked in the good vibes.
