Good coollection of original rail engines of different times. Its in chanakyapuri area of New Delhi. You can easily go there from INA metro station by taking an auto. The indoor gallery is realy good. Main problem is that noone will stop you yo climb to the engines to take photos but its not allowed. It is advisable to go... More

Really worth visiting for the railway enthusiast. Others may just skip it. Located adjacent to the diplomatic enclave it is in a nice part of Delhi.

The National Rail Museum has a splendid collection of more than 100 exhibits of real-sized Rail engines and compartments collected from different parts of the country and some of them from the ancient princely states of India. It is a favorite destination for rail enthusiasts and historians for the fascinating collections of Diesel, Steam & Electric locomotives, Railway coaches, wagons,... More

Amazing collection..... was very disappointed to see huge swash bharat campaign boards total eyesore to the heritage exhibits. Monstrosity of a cafe what in the world does it depict? Terrible musical fountain not required swings squashed between exhibits really spoiling the whole look and feel of such a wonderful place. It should be grassed up with seasonal flowers instead of... Visited this museum as it was in easy walking distance of our hotel, the Taj Palace. It cost only 50 rupees to enter plus a further 20 rupees for a train ride. There were enough trains and information for about an hour's walk around. The train ride took about ten minutes around the site and ran frequently. There were dancing... More

At 50 rupees for adults to get in and 20 rupees for the train ride you certainly can't knock it. The staff are helpful and there is a small exhibition on site and many old locomotives to see. There is also a nice looking cafe, however we didn't try this. The whole place could do with a tidy up and... More

This place has so much potential but alas it seems as if engines and bogies have just been dumped there. The engines looked clean. However the place could become more interesting had it been a bit more informative and interactive. People were openly flouting rules by getting on top of the engines and getting pictures clicked. There was hardly anybody... More
