Folklore Musum at jayalakshmi Vilas Mension in the Manasagangotri campus is a varitable storehouse of folk culture with its collection of costumes,dolls,handicrafts,implements,utensils and articles of daily use.

This ,museum is situated with in the Mysuru university campus itself. The timings are bit stringent. It remains open from 10:30 am till 12:30 pm, (though it depends on the person incharge who may decide to close it earlier if he or she feels so!!...More

This museum exhibits folk art and crafts from all over the state of Karnataka.The museum has a spectacular collection of more than 6500 unique folklore exhibits.Art and History buff must visit this museum.

The old building with so many things to see inside . It has so many precious collections , It transported me back to couple of century . The rustic feel and the nice smell

This museum has a great collection of artefacts that are pooled in from different part of Karnataka and gives a feel of the states rich folklore. A lot more artefacts needs to be added and the museum has to be maintained well.
