Venugopalaswamy temple which was submerged in the KRS waters has been relocated to a new place in the backwaters of KRS Dam. It is a calm, serene place on the banks of river Kaveri. You can see amazing sun sets from this place. Temple has not been consecrated. It is a nice place to spend couple of hours.

Venugopala Swamy temple is located in the backwaters of KRS Dam. The place is very beautiful and is on the banks of the river cauveri. The relocated Venugopala swamy temple is placed in an ideal place and it is very attractive when the KRS dam is full. The waves of cauvery touching the footsteps of the border wall is a beautiful experience..

This temple was submerged when KRS Dam was built. During drought the whole temple was dismantled and reconstructed on this new place. Care has been taken to duplicate the same scenario. Still not completely done but worth the visit.
