This is a over crowded shopping lane. Try for clothles, Untensils, vegetables. No reason for someone to go there specifically unless wants to have first hand experience of crowd and small bylanes. The same things could be bought in every other shops in Chennai

Crowded worth visit! I went there alone and felt a bit unsafe. However, it was ok at the end but recommend going there at least with a friend if you are not the adventurous type. Very cheap jute bags at whole price.

Place is filled with countless number of heads, very difficult to breathe but you can find infinite number of shops here so you can buy everything here. Not just clothes, even vegetables, furniture, fancy jewelry, street food, etc. Only difficulty is finding a parking spot.

Hi Philamb, It is safe. Keep your personal belongings protected. Do not use your mobile phone while walking. Do not get distracted by any one. Best time 1100 to 1800 hrs.
