This is probably one of the smallest zoos in the country in terms of area, but the diversity of animals is quite good. The bear, leopard and red panda are a popular attraction.
The zoo is well worth an afternoon's visit. There is Red Panda, Himalayan black bear, Snow Leopard, tiger, Jackel and other animals.
It's a nice park where you can see some rare animals like Red Panda, Different types of Leopard and Jaguars.
Was never a fan of place with caged animals (zoo), but this place has some rare species. It tries to maintain the habitat as naturally as possible. The place is very near to the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute.
SMall cramped enclosures and noisy tourists don't make for a happy experience. The red panda was a great novelty and he was in a performing mood that day.
We had visited this zoo in march'17 but writing this review late: The day we decided to visit the zoo,It was rainy & cold day! However, kids were complaining only till we entered in! zoo was well maintained & animals were almost in natural habitat.Museum and...More
The animals and birds here are amazing. It's a pity they are caged, but they are well taken care off. This place also is right next door to Himalayan mountaineering institute.
