Its good place for people to sit and pass time. But not maintained neatly. Lots of waste and unclean roads.

We were at Darjeeling on 21st & 22nd April 2017. Chowrasta is a good place for relaxing & enjoying the view. During evening, this area becomes crowded. People just relax and enjoy by taking icecreams, pani puri, jhal murhi and other street foods. There are many...More

Good place to hangout in the evening. Ample options for everyone - horse riding, hot bhutta (corn), tea, shopping, nice view of hills... There is a stage were people perform... Best of all it is safe even in late evening...

It is a nice place to spend time as you can enjoy the weather and beauty of the hills. If weather permits you can capture the scenic beauty of Himalayas, shopping and other activities for kids.

Chowrasta is a great place to meet the locals. Ne they sitting down, skate boarding or going to and from school/work/shopping it is a great place to see the sort of people living in this region. Only downside are the countless stray dogs that appear...More

This is the popular Darjeeling mall. Four roads converge here, probably that is why the name is chowrasta. The place is full of shops selling souvenirs and other things including darjeeling tea. Did not buy anything as I found it pricey than in other place

Hi, I am planning to visit chaurasta market, darjeeling on 24th of November. I have heard a lot about the tibet market. I have few queries: 1. What are the timings of tibet market (night market, flee market) at chaurasta? 2. Is there also any reasonable cargo service in chaurasta to dispatch the stuff to delhi around (50)kg as cant carry this much on flight? Thanks in advance

Hi, Tibet Market opening time is around 10AM and closing time is 8PM. It is not a flea market. They deal with the woolen product. Yes, cargo service provider is available there. You should contact them before purchase.
