The place is good to visit if you have not gone to Bhutan. The drive from Samsing is tedious for some distance as the road is not very good at stretches. First you reach Jhallong and then drive another 9-10km to reach Bindu. From here Bhutan is very near and a river divides the countries. The army camp is near... More

A strenuous drive on a practically undrivable road will lead you to "Jaldhaka Hydel Project" at Bindu, on reaching where the first thing which comes on mind is - "Alas !! Did I see the mirror while waking up today morning ???" Absolutely a waste of time, money, effort and energy. Not at all worth the pain. Strongly avoidable.

The dam is located in the upstream of river Jaldhaka. In between jungle and mountains it is beautifully located. One can spent 2-3 hours here. It is a good tourist spot for day visiting. One can witness the roar of the river forcible stopped by the dam.

The beautiful Bindu Barrage is built across the Jaldhaka river and is located in the Bindu village (Dist - Darjeeling), which is the last village on the Indian land near the Indo-Bhutan border.
