it's next to chowrasta, going uphill for 15 minutes walk from there. it's surrounded by lush green tall trees. Ambience is refreshing. A place for your own and quality time. If time permits must visit and feel it.

The Mahakal or Bhairab Nath Temple is situated just 200 mtrs way from Darjeeling mall or chowrasta. The way to temple is in Mahakal Market. Little stiff climbing is required to reach. The temple's architecture is of Buddhist architecture. Jai Baba Mahakal.

Calm and Quiet place with a nice temple of Shiva. The specialty of this temple is Lord Shiva and Buddha are being worshiped here jointly. Nice atmosphere. Behind the hill a small trek route will take you upto the Raj Bhavan.

It is very near to the mall area, the central tourist activity place of Darjeeling. One has to climb several steps to reach the temple which is of Lord Shiva and surrounded with Buddhist prayer wheels. The temple purifies the soul with its pious atmosphere.
