This is a real hidden gem which is not so famous to the whole world The institute has a museum which has almost every minute detail of each and every climb over the Everest and the museum has the grave of Tenzing Norgay.

HMI conducts Basic Mountaineering Course, Advance Mountaineering Course primarily other than different adventure courses. The institute has a very interesting Everest Museum that archives as well as displays information regarding all the historic endeavors to summit Mount Everest since 1924 expedition of George Mallory!.Must visit!

The entry fee is Rs. 50 for both HMI and the Zoo packed together. Camera fee is Rs. 10. The time depends on you. For ourselves, it took more than 3 hours to visit the two. Also there is a Natural History Museum in the zoo... More
