Negative: Really unhealthy place for our lovely animals. Apart from the cage, rest of the place is a dining place of visitors, full of left over foods, dirt's and disposable... More

This a wonderful place to visit for all age groups. Best season to visit is during the Winter. You can get to see various kinds of Flora and Fauna. It is one of the famous Zoo in India. It is well connected by road from every part of the city.

Located in Alipore, southern Kolkata, this zoological garden is the oldest in the country. Due to space constraints, most of the animals are kept in cages and maintenance is becoming more difficult. We could see a single lion, always sleeping in a corner of big open enclosure. The elephants and giraffes were active and worth seeing. Hippopotamus was seen always... More

In Winter season, it is famous for on day tour with your kids. You can enjoy the full day by roaming the cages of animals, birds, reptiles and snakes. You can carry food with you to avoid the food over there, although there are many food stalls there to eat. You can see every animals and various spices of birds... More

Pathetic place. Dusty everywhere as grass cover has vanished. Royal Bengal tigers have been slotted multiple small 12 by 12 cages for benefit of public. People were throwing water bottles into the open dens to make the resting animal move a bit. There are better ways to enjoy your time in Kolkata.
