I’m really unsure how some of the fellow reviewers have called this a place of solitude, spirituality and importance! Really sorry but it’s far from anything religious or spiritual! If you are not a local or with one, bewared! This is how it went... as...More

I visited this temple yesterday and I regret my mistake. The Divine mother is everywhere and I would advice devotees to look for her at Dakshineshwar rather then here. The temple is in a pathetic state and the goddess is kept in a really bad...More

I went early in the morning all by myself, just wandering into the temple and I experienced things no devotee to a place of worship should. Priests who are busy swindling devotees and making a mockery of spirituality right before Maa Kali. No. Not acceptable...More

The original Kali Kalkattewali Mata. Worth visiting for its importance. But not well kept and appears ignored as compared to the Dakshineshwar Kali temple.

This is the famous temple of Kolkata. The entire area is crowded and the sights and sounds of this place are interesting. Watch out, the Pandits of this temple are experts in fleecing visitors. Watch out for scams here.

This shaktipitha temple is belongs to goddess Devi Sati. The temple and nearby premises is very large or huge in nature. This temple is very famous in tourists as well as locals. Very well connected to major part of the Kolkata city.

I did not see any ramp on the way to the idol. My advice is to avoid this temple and visit Dhakshineswar temple which is much more better than this and no touts and goondas here.
