Kalighat temple is very famous and old temple. But when you go to this temple be aware of brahmins. They are trying only for money. Be safe.

One avoids giving bad reviews for temples. Initially even I thought so , despite the experience you will have at the temple. But the feeling of cautioning tourists against waste of their time and money persuaded me to write the true review. This temple has no cleanliness in its premises. Pandits are all over the temple asking fir 1,100 and... More

full of touts & corrupt priests who do not let you pray in peace & keep on canvassing for money. there is no divinity here because of them. the curse of the Goddess will surely befall all of them. Better avoid this place & have the Goddess's darshan in Dakshineshwar.

Very nice temple just beware of everyone asking for money. Inside the temple one man was pointing at my purse wanting me to donate more money to the temple although i had already given him some. Other than that it was a wonderful experience.

After carefully avoiding the approaching peoples for quick Darshan and Poojas. We didn't had any place to keep our shoes. So we approached a shop to keep our shoes, but they denied. they offered us to buy a garland for keeping shoes. After that, they cheated us nicely around 800/-INR within 15mins for 2 people. Don't listen to the approaching... More

Very bad experience. I was told to be cautious from pundits. I went there with family and I was asked to open shoes in a shop. They said all the prasad would cost just 200 rs that too to be paid after puja. There are gang of robbers who will rob you at every point. I was asked to pay... More

As soon as you arrive near temple you will be greeted with temple authorities with lust and greed. They will tell all possible lies to extract maximum money from you for a religious visit to temple. They will inform you... More
