Private museum brings part of mega carnival blocks of Olinda. Also, folkloric characters from Pernambuco, and others such as the frevo dancer, the couple from king and queen of maracatu, the spearhead of the rural maracaru, and TV presenter Chacrinha.

It's a very small room with a few dolls with no importance to local culture. The ticket price is absurd. Don't waste your money or time.

The idea is interesting: permit visitors to appreciate the large and diversified selection of Carnaval dolls fro the many and varied Carnaval groups. But the space was small, very hot and stuffy. There were no explantions about the individul dolls nor of their importance for Recife/Olinda Carnaval that could justify the expensive entrance price. The display desserves a larger and more... Get a taste of Carnival and the local dance of the region, danced by an average dancer. Fun place to take pictures and see the bid paster mache dolls.

Not really a museum, this place is a collection of giant carnival heads, some recogniseable to non-Brazilians, some not. It is just the one room, but that is just about big enough. You are allowed to 'hug' the Pope while you have your picture taken and who can resist a Giant Elvis head??? Not expensive and worth a half-hour visit.

The city's tur goes to Recife and Olinda stopping in many places including this one. We need to pay extra just R$ 5,00 for to go into this place. There we find most of the dolls, famous from Olinda's Carnival. There is a guide speaking in Portuguese about the dolls. Just for photos.

The "giant dolls" are very well made. It's a funny representation of many important celebrities. It deserves a visit if you are passing .
