If you like birds this is where you should visit. The peak times to see them are late March to mid April and again Oct. and Nov. when they are migrating through. We visited in early May and there were very few Migrants there however,...More

The alligator was being lazy the day we were there. He was just laying in the sun. But the turtles were cute and swimming all around the deck. It was a nice beautiful walk through the area and hope to go back someday.

This was "ok", but given what little there is to do on Dauphin Island, I suppose it is worth it since there is no charge and convenient to the ferry dock

My family stopped by and walked the trails, which were all easy and not stressful at all. We visited mid-day, which probably limited the amount of birds that could be observed. Regardless, we had a very enjoyable stroll through the sanctuary, and I would recommend...More

Our family enjoyed easy walk and learning about the island natural habitat: plants and different animals. We heard many beautiful bird sounds. The trails are very well marked and offer many educational signs. The only complaint I have there is NO Bathrooms.

Wonderful place to walk and see nature. Both times I've been we've seen alligators. Don't forget to take mosquito spray!

I very much doubt that they have wheelchairs. There are a few areas that are on a boardwalk but mostly it is trails/ paths.

I'm not sure about guided tours. We were there toward the end of the day and didn't see any.
