We found lots of cool shells and enjoyed the cool sand under our feet. We dipped our toes in the Gulf but you would want a wetsuit if you were going to swim!

The sand is wonderful to stick your bare feet in. The grandkids loved collecting shells as they washed up from the waves. Plans to return in May.

Very big beach. Very clean. Must be a big hit in the summer. Regrettably, the Vista does include a few production rigs off shore.

My husband and I have visited the island and the public beach a few times and loved it so much we decided to buy a house here! Clean soft white sand as far as the eye can see. The pier is long and well kept....More

The West End Beach is much cleaner. The public beach allows pets and there are LOTS of them. The walk from the parking lot is pretty far!

Yes, it is a long walk out to the end. But it's also wonderful. Take your time and enjoy it. Maybe take a sketch book. You may have to wait a while if you show up at the end of the school day, because the...More

We spend a cool afternoon here. It was only about 75 degrees out, but it was so nice to relax on the beach and watch the boats go by. There were a number of birds feeding in the water near by.. interesting to watch.

Was on a short getaway and was taken to the island. The view from the beach was amazing. I have found my new happy place.

We went to West end and you can choose Bay or Ocean side. There were not many people on the beach at all which made for a quiet/peaceful trip. They also allow dogs on the beach (with a leash). Not a ton of shells but...More

We had a family reunion last 2 weeks of June at 4 houses along Bienville with about 50 or so folks and no one had a problem. Ages were 3 to 85.
