The ferry ride from Dauphin Island to Fort Morgan was great! A fun way to spend the day. Easy boarding with our SUV and 7 passengers! The costs was $46 on the way to Fort Morgan and $13 on the way back. Once in Ft. Morgan, we drove around and explored Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and Perdido Key. The ferry... More

We enjoy taking friends who have never been on a ferry on this relatively short Mobile Bay ferry crossing from Fort Morgan, AL to Dauphin Island. You get good, close-up views of working oil rigs. You see fishing boats at work. And, best of all, you get some where with someone else doing the piloting. This is a really nice,... More

We were on our way to Florida, taking the coastal route, and the ferry was a nice break from driving. The ferry was on time and we were able to get right on. In addition to just walking around the car deck, there is a small elevated area that gives you an even better view. Unfortunately, no dolphins on our... More

Nice way to stretch your legs after a long drive. Ferry was on time. It's says on there website to be there 30 minutes before time to leave. We got there 45 minutes before and we where the last car to get on the ferry. A lot of people behind us had to wait for the next one.

We took the ferry from Dauphin Island to Ft. Morgan. The kids had fun and the staff was very friendly. The ferry was always right on time.

We wanted to eat at Tacky Jack's at Fort Morgan and decided to spend the day driving and site seeing as it was raining. The ferry was quite enjoyable

On the day we wanted to take the ferry it was not running due to high winds. But we went back the next day to do a round trip from Dauphin Island as passengers. Only $5 round trip, and a great experience to be out on the water.

We were going to go through mobile to get to dauphin island but decided to go to Fort morgan and take the ferry. It was a little nippy weather wise but the trip over was so enjoyable. You get close to some oil rigs which was pretty cool to see.

We took the ferry across Mobile bay to Dauphine Island. A full load of about 22 cars on board. It was amazing to see all the oil rigs out in that section of the bay. We had to zig-zag around them. A word of caution, if you want to leave the auto, do so before they guide your car into... More
