This is a great thing to do in the Shoals. This is the only Wright house open to the public in the South. The tour guide provides a great experience with lots of information. Friendly tour guide! You can't take pictures inside. Definitely recommend this historic site.

We toured the house with a very knowledgeable guide who answered all of our questions. The house is small and much more minimal than I expected...besides bookshelves, there is very little storage for the families that lived here, especially before it was expanded to include a full kitchen. But the many little touches Wright built into the house are endlessly... More

this house is most unusual and great visit, especially for the student of architecture. I was raised near this home and remember the Rosenbaum children going to school on the bus with me. I did not realize the diamond they were living in.

We have driven past this area of Alabama several times, but the timing of the house's hours never worked out until now. It was our first Frank Lloyd Wright home that we visited. We found it incredibly interesting; the architecture, the ideas and reasoning behind the design, and the story of the Rosenbaum family. Since we have been through one... More

Good explanation of the times and Frank Lloyd Wrights style and Opinions. Museum/Office across the street also shows photos of his other buildings and explain his life.

I toured the museum actually before the city of Florence made upgrades to the experience. But I must say it did not disappoint!!! The tour guide really gave us an extensive background of the residents and made it VERY interesting. All original furnishings give this house the feeling of still being lived in! It seems like the residents just stepped... More

We missed this last time we visited Florence, but we made it there last time. Got a personal tour and it was beautiful, built in 1940, I felt like I was back in the 1950's. Not all the clutter we have now in our homes. Amazing home, so glad we were able to see it, took lots of outside photos.... More

Frank Lloyd Wright home -- really cool how this home was designed with such detail and is rather timeless design considering many new home owners are looking for ways to live large but with a small budget. This home design demonstrates how to accomplish such living. And, in many ways -- this home depicts living grand -- Unique and amazing... More

Every inch is a wonder of Frank Lloyd Wright's creation and energy. Unique window cuts, furniture, kitchen thoughts, air flow and oddities. It was a added jewel on out trip coming up from our cruise out of New Orleans. It really makes you want to know more about the Rosenbaum family. Great docent had a real take on Wright's ideas...
