History is important and understanding the impact that this railroad station had in the growth of Huntsville was fascinating. The layout was impressive - and the actual facilities were well maintained. Additionally, in the upstairs, there is an impressive display of Union soldiers wall writing...More

This is a very neat place to check out for some neat history. Definitely recommend the guided tour through this historic landmark to hear about its past and all it has to offer. You won't be sorry!

Nice place to visit. Some free things and some cost. Also near war memorial. Grounds are beautiful and there is a pavilion for picnicking.

Huntsville depot was a Union hospital and Confederate POW structure during the Civil War. Fine graffiti left by the prisoners. The model railroad exhibit is awesome. Climb aboard a real caboose and visit the steam locomotive roundhouse.
