The Huntsville Botanical Garden is open year-round and boasts a picture perfect aquatic garden, a spectacular wildflower and nature trail and numerous specialty gardens and plant collections. The Children’s Garden and Nature Center contain the nation’s largest seasonal butterfly house and eight specialized gardens aimed toward the younger set. Children and adults alike will enjoy a stroll through the dinosaur garden, the space garden, storybook garden and more. Family festivals include Beaks and Barks, Huntsville Blooms, the Scarecrow Trail, and the nationally recognized Galaxy of Lights, and be sure not to miss our annual summer exhibits, designed to appeal to children and families. The Garden also has a gift shop, indoor and outdoor facility rental options, and education programs for all ages. The Garden is a privately run 501c3 non-profit, which receives a majority of its support from garden members, supporters, and corporate donors.

This was a delightful way to spend a morning. The garden is beautiful with an array of displays. The staff and volunteers are most helpful and knowledgeable. The butterfly garden is enchanting. The children's garden makes me wish I was a child again.

After living In Chicagoland, this does not compare to Botanical Gardens there but it is a neat place. The Christmas festival of Lights is tacky but honestly I have not been back to it in 14 years, so maybe it improved. However, the newest events...More

Beautiful, relaxing, inspiring and educational. A wonderful treat for all. Displays are whimsical and creative. Kids area is a fun place to splash water and keep cool.

Beautiful light displays. We went the first night and it was jammed packed. Recommend waiting towards the end of the night to get it.

A lot of talk, lacking garden substance. As a very long time member, I enjoy it as a botanical park rather than a garden. Visit often. After all the negativity, let’s give management and staff a big ‘tip of the hat’. Monetary support is almost...More

I take my grandchildren here every summer. There are different activities for them to do every week, plenty of water features for them to frolic in, and beautiful scenery all arounf the garden. This is a must see.
