Hands on and engaging learning

Fun, colorful place to spend a day with kids. Almost all exhibits very specific to the state/region. Fun pre-school/nursery area for kids under two.

I took my kids here when they were very young and the talking tree scared my youngest. They weren't super excited to be there nothing overall it was just okay.

The museum was just okay. I believe children are a lot smarter than this museum gives them credit for. Most of it is hands on with no adult guidance. Therefore, I witnessed adults sitting on benches starring at their cells while the kids ran and played, learning nothing new. You will get what you put into this museum. We had... More

A little disappointing. Nice history and some of the exhibits are interesting. Needs an upgrade. A lot of items are badly damaged.

We took our 2, 3, and 5 yr old and they had a blast. There is so much to do from such a wide range. We went on a week day when school just started so we had the whole place to ourselves! It’s hard to choose a few favorites because my kids didn’t want to leave any section, but... More

What a spot for children both young and. Old. Hands on from the Lego room to the general store. Also give a lot of Huntsville and Northern Alabama history. Amazingly interesting.

We have only been once and I really did not care for it. We have a 2.5 year old and the only thing he really liked was a house that you could play in and the large instruments that would play music. I know a lot of people who really enjoy it but I just wasn't impressed. There really wasn't... More

Fun for all ages! The kids loved the "hands on" of the displays and it was informative for adults too. We loved the area with the grocery store, chicken coop and fishing area.

We've held a membership at Earlyworks and used it frequently. My children have learned so much from their Alabama history exhibits.
